DIRECT COLOR PASS SELECTOR:
DEAD PIXEL (PERMANENT)

A pixel whose transistor has completely burned out or lost electrical supply. Remains completely black on a pure white or bright background. Cannot be repaired via software.

Action: Eligible for manufacturer RMA if count exceeds ISO 13406-2 Class II threshold (usually 3-5 dead pixels).
STUCK PIXEL (REPAIRABLE)

A liquid crystal cell locked in one orientation, glowing pure red, green, or blue on a black background. Often revivable by rapid RGB strobing (run our reviver tool for 15–30 minutes).

Success Rate: ~60% of stuck pixels release after prolonged high-frequency voltage cycling.
IPS GLOW VS BACKLIGHT BLEED

IPS Glow: Shifts brightness as your viewing angle changes; normal optical characteristic.
Backlight Bleed: Sharp, static yellowish light leaking from bezel pinch points regardless of angle.

Tip: Run the Pure Black pass in a dark room to isolate bezel clamping pressure points.
