Corsair Hydro H100i v2 240mm
WHY WE CHOSE IT
"The radiator goes where the case lets it go. 240mm is the largest size that fits the top run and still leaves a slot free, and it takes 120mm fans, which is the size every mount in this case except the bottom is built around."
A 240mm closed-loop cooler with a copper cold plate and two 120mm PWM fans on the radiator. It mounts in the XR's top position, which Montech lists for 120, 140, 240 and 360mm radiators. 280mm is not on that list, so a 280mm loop is not an upgrade path in this case.

Component Procurement & Testing FAQs
Crucial advice on buying used enthusiast PC hardware, silicon binning, and thermal maintenance.
Silicon degradation manifests as instability at stock or mild voltages. Test the CPU by running OCCT CPU / Linpack at stock voltage; if errors occur within 10 minutes, the silicon has experienced degradation.
For used graphics cards (especially OEM or previously mined units), check VRAM junction temperatures and inspect HWInfo64 for "PCIe Bus Errors" (WHEA 17/19).
Replacing dried thermal pads and applying PTM7950 to the GPU core restores used hardware to factory thermal performance.
Always check WHEA errors in HWInfo64 and verify voltage stability on second-hand hardware.
